By the editors · 2 min readPineapple and saffron spark the top, their tropical brightness sliced by tart raspberry and chilled violet leaf, giving the rose a candied, almost syrupy lift. Orris thickens the heart, its powdery starch binding the berries to pepper, clove and nutmeg so the spice feels baked rather than sharp, while cedar keeps the texture dry. As the wood subsides, tonka, vanilla and amber melt into supple leather, oud and myrrh, turning the earlier fruit compote into a smoky, resin-dark glove that still carries a faint raspberry glow. Projection stays within arm’s length for eight hours, the scent steadily darker but never bitter. Cool autumn nights, smart-casual dinners or a long-haul flight let the leather–fruity tension read as effortless polish rather than contrast for contrast’s sake.
