By the editors · 2 min readTarragon, clary sage, and lavender define the opening — herbal and slightly medicinal, with black pepper and basil keeping things sharp. The effect is structured and distinctly masculine in the fougère tradition.
Vetiver and patchouli take over the heart, adding earthy depth alongside cedar. This mid-stage is dry and slightly smoky, the herbs fading as the earthier materials assert themselves.
Labdanum and leather arrive in the base, supported by civet and tonka bean. Vanilla softens the animalic edges without sweetening the overall tone significantly. Sandalwood rounds the finish. This is a layered, slightly austere composition with clear classical proportions and noticeable animalic warmth underneath.
