Scandal Gold
Saffron and honey open with a syrupy, slightly medicinal pulse — the same boozy-spiced register Scandal has worked since launch, here pushed darker.

By the editors · 2 min readSaffron and honey open with a syrupy, slightly medicinal pulse — the same boozy-spiced register Scandal has worked since launch, here pushed darker. Cardamom and pink pepper add a dry crackle that keeps the sweetness from going sticky.
The heart turns rosy and floral, with jasmine and ylang-ylang rounding out a thick, almost oily middle. Patchouli, sandalwood and a smoke-tinged leather anchor the drydown; benzoin and the lingering honey keep a candied amber halo around it.
Dense and projecting; suited to cold-weather evenings, formal dress, and rooms you want to take over rather than enter quietly.
