By the editors · 2 min readArome Absolu clusters an unusually large number of ingredients and, somehow, holds them together. Ripe plum, peach, and blackberry open alongside mandarin orange — a whole fruit stand in a warm room. The heart moves through tuberose, jasmine, and rose, with ginger and cinnamon threading throughout — spiced floral, not floral with spice as an afterthought. Sandalwood and amber ground the drydown, long and warm without heaviness.
There is a lived-in quality to this, a working fragrance that improves over hours of wear as the spice and wood base comes forward. The fruit reads fresh in the opening and darker as it dries down. A rich, enveloping choice for fall and winter when you want something that fills the room without demanding it.
