By the editors · 2 min readA rose-leather oriental with the rose pushed to the front. The opening is jammy and slightly honeyed — a damask-style rose with depth rather than freshness — and a quiet jasmine sits behind it, more indolic shadow than distinct floral.
The leather edges in early and stays through the drydown, smoky-suede rather than birch-tar harsh, with amber rounding the corners into something warm and resinous. It reads as a serious cool-weather scent — close to skin but persistent, the kind of fragrance that suits dim rooms and wool coats more than daytime errands.
