By the editors · 2 min readA green-resinous floral that opens with the cool, bitter snap of galbanum — a sap-and-stem freshness more than a bright top note. The heart turns powdery and serene with iris and rose, the iris cool and rooty, the rose more pigment than perfume.
The base is the work: sandalwood and patchouli laid over incense and a small wash of vanilla, the resin and wood holding the composition together for hours. It reads as a meditative scent rather than a pretty one — close to skin, slow to reveal, and most legible at the back of an evening rather than the front of a morning.
