By the editors · 2 min readBlack currant snaps open with a tart, almost wine-dark bite that stains the suede beneath it. Rose slips in quickly, not lush but dry and papery, letting the suede’s matte skin-like texture dominate the heart. White musk keeps the suede airy rather than heavy, while tonka slowly sweetens the leather from below. After ninety minutes the incense smokes through, drying the tonka and pulling the rose into something cooler, greyer. Patchouli and oakmoss darken the final stretch, giving the skin scent quite a bit more earth than the opening suggested. Projection stays polite, a one-foot veil perfect for office or gallery; cool fall days flatter it most.
