By the editors · 2 min readBergamot and lavender open together, the lavender herbal and clean, the bergamot bitter-bright. There is a slight medicinal coolness before the heat starts to build underneath.
The centre warms quickly, sandalwood adding a creamy lacquered texture and amber rounding the edges. Despite the name, there is no overt oud here; instead a smoky-resinous warmth that suggests one through the amber-wood interplay.
The base reads as a soft, vanilla-tinged sandalwood with the lavender still hanging on top like an aromatic ghost. The overall character is a smoothed lavender-amber, gentlemanly in shape, leaning sweet and balsamic in the dry down without crossing into gourmand territory.
