By the editors · 2 min readA spare, three-stroke composition: a flicker of bergamot at the top, rum at the heart, atlas cedar at the base. The bergamot reads more like a brief lift than a developed citrus stage, present mainly to keep the rum from feeling syrupy.
The rum-cedar pairing is the whole perfume. The booze stays warm and slightly burnt rather than candied, and the cedar — pencil-shaving dry, faintly smoky — gives it a structural backbone instead of letting it slump into a gourmand. There is no real floral or spice middle. It wears linear and close-skinned after the first hour, with a quiet woody finish. A statement of restraint, more than a fully developed arc.
