By the editors · 2 min readLa Chasse aux Papillons Extreme is the darker, denser counterpart to L'Artisan's airy 1999 original. Where the Chasse aux Papillons reads like a springtime meadow at 11am, the Extreme version takes the same white-floral bouquet and pushes it past noon into late afternoon sun.
The heart is still orange blossom, tuberose, and jasmine, but the concentration is much higher and the florals take on a honeyed, heat-baked quality. The drydown introduces a vanilla-musk base that the original lacks, giving the composition more backbone and longevity. Projection is strong in the first hour, moderate after. Meant for warm weather still, but with more presence than the original allowed. For those who loved the concept but wanted more.
