L'Été en Douce Extrait de Songe
L'Été en Douce — sometimes still labeled Extrait de Songe — is Olivia Giacobetti's coolest work: peppermint, rose, orange blossom and white musk, and almost nothing else.

The peppermint is the unusual move; it gives the rose a dewy sharpness rather than the usual buttery softness.
Orange blossom takes over in the middle, fresh rather than honeyed, and the white musk drydown is so transparent it could be skin. There is no real base — that's the point. The composition is meant to evoke crisp linen sheets in summer, and it does.
Best worn in heat. The minimalism is the entire idea.
