Lattafa delivers a straightforward oud fragrance that wastes no time announcing itself. The opening is resinous and slightly medicinal, that particular sharpness synthetic oud compounds often carry, before settling into something warmer and more manageable. It's loud in the first half hour, then gradually finds its footing.
As it develops, vanilla emerges to soften the edges, rounding out the oud's aggressive smokiness without turning sweet or gourmand. Sandalwood provides a creamy, woody foundation that keeps the composition grounded. The interplay is simple but effective—less about complexity than about maintaining presence.
This is for those who want oud projection without the price point of traditional artisanal oils. It reads masculine, works in cooler weather, and lasts considerably longer than you'd expect at this price. Not subtle, not meant to be.
