Weighted by intensity across 6 accords.

Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readThe opening is sharp and resinous—cardamom cracked open, slightly medicinal, with none of the sweetness you might expect. It clears the air rather than filling it, a bracing prelude that fades quickly into something quieter.

What follows is a pressed-shirt woodiness: sandalwood and cedar rendered pale and linear, more sketch than oil painting. Vetiver adds a faint earthiness, but the composition stays clean, almost austere. The violet appears as a powdery whisper in the base, softening the edges without announcing itself. White musk keeps everything close to the skin, polite and uninsistent.

This is minimalism without coldness—a fragrance that refuses to perform. It suits someone who dresses well but never ostentatiously, who prefers rooms with good light and little clutter. Loewe 001 Man wears like expensive stationery: understated, functional, and quietly confident in its refusal to shout.
