By the editors · 2 min readVetiver and labdanum establish the opening ground — earthy, slightly waxy, with labdanum's resinous warmth lending a dark sweetness. Patchouli reinforces the soil and wood, building a foundation that feels dense from the first moment.
Tobacco runs through both heart and base, persistent and central. It sits alongside leather in the dry-down, giving the composition a dry, cured quality. Amber and vanilla smooth the rougher edges without eliminating the animalic undertow that ambergris contributes.
The result is a rich, settled amber-leather construction — warm, low, and deliberate. Tonka bean softens the final stage into a slightly almond-tinged musky finish. Best reserved for cooler weather and unhurried evenings.
