By the editors · 2 min readBasil opens green and aromatic, slightly bitter and almost peppery, with no citrus to soften it. The first impression is herbal and pointed rather than pretty.
Rose builds the heart, providing a soft red-petal warmth that the basil cuts through rather than wraps around. The contrast is the centre of the scent and continues for some time before the wood begins to surface.
White musk, vetiver and cedar close the scent on a clean dry base, the vetiver earthy and the cedar pencil-dry. Overall this is an aromatic green-rose with a clean woody-musk finish, modern and slightly androgynous in posture. Best in spring weather and office or casual wear.
