By the editors · 2 min readIncense and orange blossom open with a dry, resinous crackle that feels almost mineral, the blossom softening the ash without adding sweetness. Bulgarian rose and jasmine bloom quickly, their petals dusted with the lingering incense smoke, turning the heart into a smoldering floral ember rather than a bright bouquet. As the base settles, tonka bean and sandalwood spread a creamy, slightly sugary wood that is cut by a tough leather strip and darkened by labdanum and patchouli; amber simply thickens the haze without announcing itself. The dry-down stays resin-leather dominant, the flowers now a muted blur that keeps the smoke from turning bitter. Projection is moderate, trailing about arm’s length for most of the wearing, making it suited to cool autumn nights or a subdued date where leather and incense can breathe without overheating.
