By the editors · 2 min readAngel Aqua Chic 2013 is a lighter reworking of the Angel template — the patchouli and caramel that define the original are both present but dialed down in intensity. Bergamot and pink pepper replace Angel's star anise-heavy opening, giving this edition a brighter, more conventional entry before rose emerges to soften the composition.
The base is familiar Angel territory: patchouli providing its earthy depth, vanilla and caramel adding sweetness, sandalwood smoothing the transition. The net effect is a more agreeable version of the Angel accord — one that doesn't dominate a room. Those who find the original too dense will likely find this accessible; longtime Angel devotees may find it diluted.
