By the editors · 2 min readRum and orange open boozy and bright, the citrus carrying a warm Caribbean lift over the spirit. There's no softness yet — the top is unguarded, dense with sweet alcohol and zest.
Coconut arrives quickly, fleshy and creamy, pulling the rum toward something tropical and dessert-adjacent. Ylang-ylang adds a yellow-floral warmth in the heart, banana-tinged and slightly indolic, while clary sage keeps a faint herbal edge alive.
The base is labdanum and amber, resinous and warm, with musk softening the close. The drydown reads tropical-amber rather than gourmand — a sun-warmed skin scent built around rum, coconut, and resin, with enough floral lift in the heart to keep it from collapsing into pure dessert territory.
