The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 9 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readAmbergris, myrrh, frankincense, and labdanum announce themselves upfront as a dense resinous cloud, cool-smoky and ecclesiastical. There is weight here from the first application — this is not a perfume that eases in gently.
Leather and oud dominate the heart, joined by civet and castoreum for a pronounced animalic character. The combination is raw and unapologetically animalic, pushing toward something almost feral. Smoky facets from the resins weave throughout this phase.
Musk in the base softens the composition without erasing its edge. The result is dense, long-wearing, and confrontational in the best sense — for someone who wants a perfume that commands attention in a room.
