Patchouli takes over the heart and stays there. It's the green, mineral kind, set against a thin line of jasmine that keeps the composition from going monastic. Virginia cedar lends a pencil-shavings sharpness. The base is restrained: sandalwood at low volume, tonka adding a soft hay finish, oakmoss giving the whole structure a chypre backbone.
Reads serious. Not difficult, but unhurried. Cool weather, daytime, the kind of scent that doesn't announce itself.
