By the editors · 2 min readIntense Oopss 2021 opens on orange blossom and bergamot — a clean, slightly indolic citrus that immediately signals the fragrance isn't going to be aquatic-fresh despite the bright opening. There's weight here from the start.
The heart shifts unexpectedly. Ginger sharpens the air alongside Bulgarian rose, the ginger's heat playing against the rose's velvety roundness. It's a small heart with a lot of friction in it — spicy and floral at once, neither idea giving up ground to the other.
The base is generous and oriental. Tonka bean, sandalwood, vanilla, and amber build a warm gourmand-resinous floor, with patchouli and Virginia cedar adding earthy and dry-wood texture. Musk smooths everything to the skin. By hour three it reads as a cozy, slightly spicy oriental — winter feminine with enough projection to feel deliberate.
