By the editors · 2 min readThe opening strikes with a dusty warmth—ginger and cardamom layered over bergamot and lemon, the spice more pronounced than the citrus. Cinnamon adds a faintly sweet heat that never turns gourmand, kept in check by the aromatic bite of the top notes. It's immediate and enveloping, like stepping into a spice merchant's storeroom at dusk.
As it settles, sage introduces an herbal clarity that briefly lifts the composition before the base asserts itself. Sandalwood and frankincense form the core, resinous and softly smoky, cushioned by benzoin and vanilla that read more balm than dessert. Patchouli adds earthiness; cashmeran lends a diffuse, almost suede-like texture. The amber here feels lived-in rather than polished.
This is a warm-weather oriental that favors character over refinement—bold spicing, woody-resinous depth, and a deliberate lack of sharpness. It suits someone comfortable with presence, drawn to fragrance that announces itself without shouting.
