By the editors · 2 min readSavannah Sensuous opens on a small spice bite — black pepper sharpening a hibiscus-and-tropical-fruit top that could easily have gone too sweet without it. The fruit reads as nectary rather than candied, and the pepper keeps the whole opening dry.
The heart is where the composition turns warmer. Ylang-ylang and saffron pair the way they do in many oriental florals — the saffron leathery, the ylang creamy — with orange blossom adding a honeyed lift. The drydown is plush: vanilla rounded by cashmeran, with the "exotic woods" reading as a generic warm woody backdrop rather than any specific cedar or sandalwood character.
A spicy-floral oriental for cooler-weather evenings. Closer to skin than projecting, but with reasonable longevity.
