By the editors · 2 min readTuberose at full tilt—this is Penhaligon's at their most unapologetic. The opening arrives with sharp green facets and a whisper of pepper that quickly gives way to a tuberose so creamy and dense it nearly crowds out everything else. There's none of the usual softening with vanilla or sandalwood; instead, the flower holds its ground with an almost rubbery, mentholated quality that some tuberose purists find intoxicating and others find frankly challenging.
As it settles, a hint of powdered iris and pale woods emerges around the edges, but the tuberose remains the unmistakable core. This is a scent for those who've worn Fracas or Carnal Flower and thought, "More." It demands attention without asking permission—fitting, perhaps, for a character named Helen.
