By the editors · 2 min readPolo Red Parfum recasts the Polo Red signature in a more reserved key. The opening is pink pepper and blood orange — fizzy, slightly bitter — with bergamot extending the citrus across the first ten minutes.
Orris and lavender take over the heart, lending a powdered cool that the original Red never had. The familiar warmth of opoponax and cedar arrives in the base, but slower this time, less candy and more polish.
Musk softens the long tail. The whole thing reads dressed: closer to a charcoal-suit fragrance than the bomber-jacket original. Performance is the better part of the day; projection is moderate rather than aggressive.
