By the editors · 2 min readMelon and grapefruit open with a fresh-aquatic brightness, gardenia adding a creamy tropical counterpoint and jasmine and lily of the valley keeping the floral register present from the very first moment. The heart develops into something more substantive: tuberose's rich cream alongside the unexpected basil — herbal, green, slightly anise — and orange blossom's solar warmth. The base is polished and sophisticated: sandalwood, vetiver, oakmoss, and suede forming a dry woody-leathery foundation with amber providing warmth. Blue is something of a misnomer for what's ultimately a sun-drenched floral with genuine chypre architecture in the base — more complexity than the name and presentation suggests.
