By the editors · 2 min readOpens aldehydic and bright — that fizzy, slightly soapy lift, with rhubarb adding a tart green edge and bergamot keeping the citrus structured. It's an unmistakably old-school floral-chypre opening, deliberately retro.
A full white-and-rose heart follows: rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and orris root, with the orris adding a dry root-y backbone that keeps the bouquet from going syrupy. The base is where it earns its category — oakmoss, patchouli, castoreum, sandalwood, and resins build the proper chypre floor, mossy and slightly animalic. A long, dressed composition, most natural in cool weather and on dressed-up evenings.
