By the editors · 2 min readAquaman (2001) is a small-palette aquatic-aromatic — eucalyptus and grapefruit opening cold and metallic, the way early-2000s ozonics tended to read. Sage forms the entire heart, a single herbal note that bridges the cool top to a warmer base without elaboration.
The drydown is amber, cedar and a surprisingly forward cardamom — the cardamom doing most of the lift, lending a dry, faintly sweet spice to what would otherwise be a generic blue-bottle masculine. It projects briefly and fades within four or five hours. Built for hot weather and casual wear, with the cardamom giving it a small signature in a category that often has none.
