The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 13 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readA grapefruit-bergamot opening sits over a fruit-rose heart — apple, pear and black currant tucked behind a clear damask rose. The fruit is glossy rather than candied, with the cassis dragging a green-tart line through the perfume's first half.
The base is where the name earns itself. Leather, birch tar and frankincense build a smoky-resin hide accord, with labdanum and a literal amber note widening the warmth and saffron lacing it with leathered spice. Sandalwood, orris, cedar, patchouli, cardamom and musk fill the floor. The fruit reads as candy on top of a dark, smoky leather — a deliberate contrast rather than a balance.
