By the editors · 2 min readParfum de la Nuit No. 3 opens with the barest flicker of bergamot — hardly more than a formality before the fragrance descends into its real subject. Rose appears at the heart as a structural note rather than a protagonist, softening the transition to the base. What follows is dense and nocturnal: incense, leather, and saffron build a dark, spiced warmth, with cumin adding an animalic undercurrent. Guaiac wood introduces a smoky, slightly rubbery quality alongside cedar and sandalwood. Labdanum and benzoin deepen the resinous base; styrax adds a balsamic smokiness that carries through the drydown. Built for evenings and those who treat nightfall as permission to wear something heavier than daylight allows.
