By the editors · 2 min readTarragon and bergamot open with a green, herbal brightness that dissipates quickly as jasmine, ylang-ylang, and rose move in. Peach adds a ripe, sun-warmed quality to the heart without tipping toward sweetness — it softens the florals rather than overwhelming them. The base is where Reckless reveals its real character: leather and castoreum arrive with an animalic directness rarely encountered in contemporary perfumery. Tonka and cinnamon provide warmth around them; vetiver offers a dry, rooty counterpoint. The overall effect is deliberately sensual — a fragrance that operates at close range and rewards proximity. Suited to cold months when the heavier materials slow their diffusion and stay close to skin.
