By the editors · 2 min readGrapefruit and bergamot open with a tart, slightly bitter citrus snap. The top is brief — within minutes the fruit-and-floral heart begins to bloom, with apricot pulling the citrus into a softer, juicier register.
Peony, freesia and rose layer through the middle in a pink-floral arrangement, the rose more cushion than centerpiece. The fruit holds the lead through this stretch, with apricot and grapefruit creating a slightly tropical-jammy impression rather than a green-floral one.
The base goes deeper than expected — tonka, sandalwood, incense, vanilla, cedar, patchouli and musk build a soft-smoky resinous close where the incense and patchouli weigh in. Overall character is a fruity-floral that turns warm and faintly smoky in the drydown — cool-weather, evening-leaning, with a long resinous tail.
