By the editors · 2 min readPineapple dominates the opening with a tart, almost candied brightness that the lemon and bergamot sharpen into a metallic-green edge rather than simple sweetness. The heart introduces birch tar and black pepper in equal measure: the birch lays down a leathery, smoky plank while the pepper crackles across it, turning the lingering fruit into something dry and vaguely barbecued. Patchouli arrives early in the base, coupling with the birch to produce a camphoraceous, tarry accord that pushes the ambergris and moss to the periphery. On skin the pineapple recedes within forty minutes, leaving a smoky leather-patchouli core that stays close and feels cooler than expected because of the mossy filter.
