By the editors · 2 min readSilk! Oud opens with pink pepper over citrus — orange and lemon providing brightness while the pepper delivers a dry, slightly resinous edge. The transition into the heart is smooth; plum adds a dark, mildly fruity quality, while iris and cedar introduce a cool, powdery dryness that balances the fruitiness.
Rose sits within the heart but reads quietly alongside the iris and cedar rather than asserting itself. The base layers sandalwood and benzoin over a gentle musk, the benzoin adding a soft balsamic warmth that rounds everything out. The overall character is powdery and softly spiced, with fruit and florals providing texture rather than boldness. Calm and composed rather than dramatic.
