By the editors · 2 min readSage and clary sage open dry and savory, lavender threading through with its blue-green herbal coolness, lemon and bergamot adding a sparkling lift on top. The opening is deeply aromatic — Provence garden in summer.
Vetiver moves into the heart slowly, adding a smoky-grassy spine, with pink pepper's faint floral heat and cedar's dry pencil-shaving quality keeping the structure architectural. Frankincense and benzoin in the base bring a resinous warmth that smells like sun-warmed wood, with moss adding a damp green floor. Tonka contributes just enough sweetness to round the dryness. The whole progression is from herbal sparkle to resinous-woody calm.
Overall a polished aromatic-woody lavender, dry and grown-up. Spring-fall daytime, moderate projection.
