Vendetta Donna

A 1991 Valentino launch in the grand Italian floral oriental tradition, Vendetta Donna opens with plum and peach alongside bergamot and orange blossom — immediately lush and fruit-forward, with none of the restraint that would define the decade's close.

By the editors · 2 min readA 1991 Valentino launch in the grand Italian floral oriental tradition, Vendetta Donna opens with plum and peach alongside bergamot and orange blossom — immediately lush and fruit-forward, with none of the restraint that would define the decade's close. The heart is an extravagant white-floral statement: tuberose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, narcissus, heliotrope, honey, and rose layered to the point of saturation.

The base sustains the drama. Tonka, vanilla, sandalwood, benzoin, amber, patchouli, vetiver, cedar, and musk build a warm, resinous drydown that softens without ever relenting. Sillage is generous, longevity substantial. This is a fragrance that announces itself and stays — a dressed evening scent for those who find the maximalist early-90s Italian fashion aesthetic genuinely compelling.
