By the editors · 2 min readBasil and bergamot open with a sharp, herbal-green freshness, the lemon giving brightness without length. This aromatic lift fades quickly, handing off to a complex heart where cinnamon and patchouli compete — the spice assertive and dry, the patchouli earthy and slightly dark.
Jasmine and cedar add structure in the mid-stage, keeping the composition from collapsing into pure spice. Vetiver threads through with a smoky, rooty quality that connects the heart to the base seamlessly.
Labdanum, benzoin, and amber build a resinous, leathery dry-down reinforced by oakmoss — mossy, animalic, and warm. The leather note grounds everything. This reads as a structured, dry fougère-oriental with clear vintage character.
