By the editors · 2 min readAlexandria II opens with a peculiar contrast: bright apple laced with cinnamon's warmth, softened by lavender's aromatic haze. The effect is neither gourmand nor fougère but something suspended between the two, like spiced fruit preserved in herbal spirits. Within minutes, the sweetness recedes and rose emerges alongside lily of the valley, their floral character tempered by dry cedar that prevents any powdery excess.

The drydown settles into sandalwood and amber cushioned by vanilla, creating a skin-close murmur of woody sweetness with musk holding the edges. There's an old-fashioned generosity to the composition—nothing skeletal or minimalist here—but it wears with restraint rather than volume.

This suits someone drawn to classic oriental structures but weary of their usual heaviness, or anyone seeking approachable warmth without sacrificing a degree of composure. It's comfortable without disappearing, familiar without being redundant.
