By the editors · 2 min readRum opens with a boozy, molasses-rich sweetness that feels immediately dark and resinous, its edges brightened only by a brief bergamot flash. Cinnamon soon takes over, its dry heat fusing with tanned leather and a plush Bulgarian rose to create a warm, slightly floral-spiced saddle accord that dominates the heart. As the spices recede, tonka bean, caramel and vanilla surge forward, melting into sandalwood and labdanum to form a creamy, tobacco-tinged amber that smells like charred sugar on barrel staves. Ambergris and musk add a salty, skin-close glow that keeps the gourmand sweetness from turning syrupy. Projection stays within arm’s length yet persists for hours, projecting best in cool evenings when its spiced leather-caramel core can fully bloom without becoming cloying.
