The black tea is the interesting part — tannic, slightly smoky, sitting under the rose so that the floral reads less sweet and more inflected. By the drydown the tea has thinned out and white musk has taken over, doing the laundered-skin thing the modern Yves Rocher house style relies on. Pleasant, restrained, and a fair example of the brand's mass-market take on rose-tea.
