By the editors · 2 min readCaban opens with a sharp duet of peppers—black and pink—that cut through the air with a bright, aromatic snap. There's no sweetness here yet, just a clean, almost austere spice that feels deliberate and composed. As the initial brightness settles, osmanthus brings a subtle apricot-suede softness, while frankincense adds a resinous, slightly smoky depth that keeps the fragrance from veering too sweet or safe.

The base is where Caban finds its warmth. Tonka bean lends a dry, almost hay-like sweetness rather than vanilla confection, grounded by sandalwood and patchouli that stay low and woody without dominating. The overall effect is polished but understated—a fragrance that suggests tailored coats and quiet confidence rather than loud declarations. It leans slightly masculine but wears easily on anyone drawn to clean, woody compositions with just enough spice to keep things interesting.
