Then sage and lavender take the wheel in the heart, the clary sage sweeter and more herbal-rooty than common sage, working in that classic aromatic fougère register alongside lavender. The base is dry and forested: vetiver, cedar, and patchouli locked in tight, amber providing enough warmth to keep it from reading arid. Y EDP Intense reads like a more assertive, slightly darker take on the Y EDP proper — the aromatic-woody spine is the same, but compressed and denser. Wears best in autumn, cool weather, close quarters.
