By the editors · 2 min readAn aromatic-woody with more architecture than the typical Zara release. Lavender and cardamom open together — the herb cool and slightly camphoric, the spice green and faintly resinous — sketching a classic fougère angle.
The heart pivots into orris, vetiver and cedar: dry, root-and-bark, the iris carrying a starchy quality that sits between floral and powdery. This is where the fragrance establishes its seriousness; the orris cools the cedar without softening it. The base then loads in amber, patchouli and musk for a warm earthy floor.
The overall arc is masculine-leaning, well-proportioned, and reads more grown-up than the price suggests. Wears longer than expected for the line.
