The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 11 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readA Jo Malone collaboration, Grapefruit Incense opens with sharp, clean grapefruit — the citrus family's most acidic member, which cuts cleanly rather than sweetening. It transitions quickly into Rose de Mai, a high-quality rose absolute with honeyed depth and density that contrasts sharply with the citrus opening.
White woods close the composition, dry and unobtrusive. The pairing of grapefruit's tartness against Rose de Mai's richness creates a tension that reads incense-adjacent on skin — an impression of warm complexity that the name invokes. One of the more interesting constructions in Zara's Jo Malone series.
