By the editors · 2 min readA summer-flanker treatment of a gourmand floral. Basil opens green and almost vegetal — an unusual choice for a sweet pyramid, lending the start a kitchen-garden coolness that delays the gourmand kick.
The heart turns: melon brings a watery freshness, vanilla introduces sweetness, and rose threads through both as a soft floral anchor. The combination reads as a melon-rose sorbet. Then the base shifts again — oud arrives dry and woody, amber pads it with warmth, and praline adds a final caramelized edge that pulls the whole composition gourmand.
Three distinct phases that don't quite blend. Lighter than the parent line; longer than the basil opening suggests.
