By the editors · 2 min readRuby Syrup 2021 is a three-note fruity-floral built around a clear sweet/tart axis. Grapefruit opens it bright — juicy and slightly bitter, the pink kind, not the sharp white.
Orchid in the heart is doing standard Zara floral duty: clean, generic, slightly soapy, more idea-of-flower than specific bloom. It absorbs the grapefruit instead of contrasting it.
Honey finishes the composition with a thick, slightly waxy sweetness — the syrup of the title — which takes it from fresh-and-fruity into something warmer and stickier. Genuinely minimal by design, not underdocumented. Three hours of wear, low projection. Best for casual daytime, particularly transitional weather where the honey doesn't get cloying.
