Blood Concept
Four blood types, four scents, no easy florals.
Blood Concept is a Milan-born niche perfume house founded in 2010 by Antonio Zuddas and Giovanni Castelli, built on one of contemporary perfumery's most arresting concepts: four fragrances corresponding to the four human blood types — A, B, AB, and O — that retrace the evolutionary arc of humankind through progressively complex olfactory structures. Rather than conventional florals or aquatics, the founders sought to render blood itself as a theme — its mystery, its biology, and its capacity to hold individual identity. Working with acclaimed perfumers Antoine Lie, Céline Ripert, Philippe Bousseton, Christian Vermorel, and Cyrill Rolland, the house built a palette of earthy, mineral, metallic, and botanical compositions utterly unlike anything else on the niche market. Later additions extended the original tetralogy into experimental territories. The project remains one of the most conceptually rigorous and visually distinctive in Italian niche perfumery.

DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
