Bohoboco
Warsaw fashion duo, Grasse-made fragrance.
Bohoboco began in Warsaw in 2009 as a ready-to-wear fashion line founded by Michał Gilbert Lach and Kamil Owczarek, building a reputation in Polish fashion before pivoting fully toward fragrance in 2016 — the year Lach dedicated himself entirely to perfumery. The brand's fragrance debut made an immediate impression: in 2020, Bohoboco was shortlisted for best newcomer at the FiFi Awards, a recognition that brought the Warsaw house to international attention. All Bohoboco releases are extrait de parfum at thirty percent perfume oil concentration — the format's highest standard — and all are explicitly unisex, consistent with the founders' conviction that freedom and inclusivity are the brand's governing values. Compositions are crafted in Grasse in collaboration with master perfumer Gérard Anthony, whose work gives the catalogue a consistent technical polish that belies the brand's young age. Titles like Dark Vinyl Musk, Jasmine White Leather, and the boldly conceived Polish Potatoes demonstrate a willingness to occupy uncomfortable creative territory. Bohoboco occupies the serious end of European niche perfumery: Grasse-made, extrait-only, uncompromisingly ungendered, and distributed through specialist boutiques rather than department stores.
