Gallagher Fragrances
Single-perfumer American artisan house.
Gallagher Fragrances is an independent American artisan house founded in 2016 by Daniel Gallagher, a self-taught Massachusetts perfumer who began researching composition the year before, dissatisfied with what he heard as repetitive notes from the wider designer market. He composes, blends and bottles the line himself and also runs the brand's website and graphic identity, an unusually integrated single-author operation. The perfumes pair quality naturals with contemporary aromachemicals, typically opening luminous and settling into a smooth woody amber-musk drydown with strong longevity for the price. In 2023 Gallagher merged a sibling project, Pearlescent Parfums, originally launched in 2021 with his partner Mindy, into the parent label, where it now sits as the Pearlescent Collection. The house remains small, sold mostly direct and through a handful of specialty stockists, and suits collectors interested in single-perfumer artisan work in the upper-amber and clean musk territory.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
