Giorgio Armani
It speaks for you
Giorgio Armani founded his fashion house in Milan in 1975, and entered fragrance in 1982 with Armani pour Homme. The house's aesthetic position — quiet sophistication, tailored restraint, the removal of excess — translated directly into its perfume output: compositions that prioritize wearability and refinement over spectacle. Acqua di Giò (1996), created by Alberto Morillas, became one of the best-selling men's fragrances in history and defined the fresh-aquatic masculine genre for two decades. The fragrance portfolio is organized across three tiers: mainstream Armani (Acqua di Giò, My Way, Sì), the mid-prestige Armani Code line, and the ultra-niche Armani Privé Haute Couture series. Giorgio Armani S.p.A. has maintained independence from the major luxury conglomerates; the house remains privately held. Alberto Morillas and Olivier Cresp are among the notable perfumers who have contributed across the portfolio.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
